The UBC Assembly of Interdisciplinary Students (AIS)

Our Vision

Picture
Based on our research from the UBC student body, we strongly believe that there is substantial growth potential for our organization and projects. AIS is dedicated to working with existing student groups, ranging from the Alma Mater Society to its constituents, to make a reality of a UBC campus-wide yearbook and video presentation. We believe that there is no better time than now to start bringing together the entire UBC community in sharing our vision.

It is our goal to be able to encourage students at UBC to be involved in all levels of student life and to provide resources to students and student groups to be able to successfully capture the moment as it happens.

Our current leadership team is dedicated to setting the foundations of the organization to be able to overcome challenges that may arise in the short and long run. Our internal "Leaders of Tomorrow" program will allow us to ensure that future executives of AIS have all the necessary resources they need to lead our organization into the future.

Our Logo and Motto

Picture
Conceptualized by artistic designer Winnie Huang and Priscilla Trinh, the symbol of an X symbolizes the various roads that each of our disciplines take us which ultimately merge at a crossroad in which the Assembly of Interdisciplinary Students serves as a medium for friendship development. Our organizational motto "together, we create" highlights the fundamental philosophy that each one of our members share and that is to create lasting friendships and memories of our time together at UBC.
